Vacuum Trenching Services

Coastal Construction & Engineering now offers vacuum trenching services for many different uses.  Vacuum trailers work in conjunction with our specialty services of HORIZONTAL BORING and TRENCHLESS TECHNOLOGY. The use of a vacuum trailer will save us time, therefore YOU money! 

What is a vacuum trailer or hydrovac?

It’s a tank truck that has a pump and a tank. The pump is designed to pneumatically suck liquids, mud, dirt, water, sludges, slurries, or the like from a location (often underground) into the tank of the truck. The objective is to enable transport of the liquid material via road to another location. Vacuum trailers transport the collected material to a treatment or disposal site. 

Vacuum trailers can also be used to prepare a site for installation or to access underground utilities. 

Our Ditch Witch, vacuum trailer also has a high powered hydro jetter to break up severe clogs in sewer lines.  Sometimes these clogs are so bad, we can’t even scope the line prior to beginning the job. Our vacuum trailer also does hydro excavation.  Hydro excavation is used to safely loosen up dirt and debris around pipes and utilities so  they remain safe while the vacuum is used.
